Not everyone can spend 30-60 minutes in the gym…
Lets be honest, life is BUSY!
And even though 1-hour out of a 24-hour day doesn’t seem like a lot… It most certainly can be…
So, if you’re busy… Here’s my three tips for keeping your workouts short and effective:
1) Hit your entire body every workout
Because your workouts are short, you want to make sure you are activating as many muscles as possible.
Now, you can have a FOCUS in your workouts (like legs or chest or back), but make sure your workout hits your entire body.
This will allow you to burn more calories and rev up your metabolism.
2) You need to push the intensity
You only have 8-12 minutes, so make sure a good portion of the workout is SUPER intense.
Let’s put it this way… If you are checking your phone during your workout, it’s not intense enough.
For some ideas, try doing a 45-second ON, 15-second rest interval or a full density training workout (as many rounds as possible in 8-12 minutes)
3) Change the time
Every so often, maybe once per week, try to ADD some extra time to your workouts.
For example, if you have been doing 8-minute workouts, try doing one 16-minute workout each week.
This is just to ensure that you are pushing yourself harder each week.
