One of the main reasons that healthy eating seems so expensive is because we often fall for hyped up food marketing and label scams.
For example:
Overpriced Health Food #1: Gluten-Free Products
Avoiding gluten is actually a very good idea, especially if you’re intolerant.
But here’s the thing… at least 90% of all products labeled “gluten-free” NEVER had gluten to begin with.
Food marketers KNOW putting “gluten-free” on a food label instantly increases sales, so they scam you into thinking it’s somehow healthier.
Example: paying more money for gluten-free meat or even gluten-free broccoli!
The only 3 foods that you should buy “gluten-free” are those made with wheat, barley, or rye.
Everything else is pretty much a rip off.
Overpriced Health Food #2: Acai Berries
People buy superfruits like acai to benefit from one of the world’s best antioxidants, but mostly because they think it will help them burn fat faster.
The Truth?
Acai will do neither for you.
Regardless of what you read about acai, there has never been an actual published study or research paper proving these berries will increase fat burning or weight loss.
And here’s the real kicker: unless your acai berries are freeze- dried using a very expensive technology (less than 1% are), the actual antioxidant content will be significantly lower than any berry you can find locally – for a fraction of the price.
Also, like I mentioned yesterday, 99% of organic produce companies are owned and operated by food conglomerates:
Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Kelloggs, Campbell’s, Dannon, and Smucker’s, all use organic pseudonyms to manipulate you into buying their so-called “organic” foods.
And they have ONE goal: to keep you fat and sick.
