IMPORTANT!
(Disclaimer: NEVER stop diabetes medication, insulin shots, or do anything without working with a doctor.)
You know I care about you, and the most important thingto me is your health, family, and livelihood.
So, if you, or someone you know, has any symptoms of any type of diabetes, please share this with them.
Most people don’t even understand how diabetes really works – or what actually causes it.
In fact, MOST folks are convinced it’s genetic and not reversible.
Why?
Manipulation and misinformation generated by the all-mighty drug and pharmaceutical companies.
Here are 4 lies we’ve all been fed about insulin control, blood sugar, and diabetes.
LIE #1) Diabetes is a blood sugar disease
Not.
The main problem with diabetes is insulin resistance, which means that your cells cannot respond to insulin properly.
And because insulin is responsible for lowering your blood sugar levels back to normal after you eat, it’s normal that diabetics have constantly elevated blood sugar levels.
But does it mean that lowering your blood sugar with drugs is the way to go?
Nope.
It would be like fixing a car with a piece of duct tape… it’s just a Band-Aid covering a bigger problem.
To reverse type-2 diabetes and pre-diabetes, you need to fix your insulin resistance.
LIE #2) Low carb diets are not safe for diabetics
Wrong.
Most professionals do not want people to lower their blood sugar with diet because they are programmed to believe they have to do it with drugs.
Truth be told, starting with an extremely low carb diet can help jumpstart your fight against long-term diabetes because
it automatically helps keep insulin stable.
But please, please, please make sure you discuss your intentions with your doctor before trying this if you’re diabetic.
If you are currently on medications to treat your type 2 diabetes, discuss safe ways to get off of them and let your doc know what your intentions are.
And if you think that going low carb will cause hypoglycemia (blood sugar too low, lack of energy), it’s yet another myth.
The real problem is when people decide to go low carb AND take blood sugar-lowering drugs together at the same time.
The drugs can cause hypoglycemia in these types of situations.
LIE #3) Diabetes can’t be cured
It’s true that most people with type-1 diabetes will have to deal with it for the rest of their life.
But for the 95% of people with diabetes that are affected by type-2 (NOT type 1), it is very simple to reverse it when you use the right diet, supplements, and exercise.
LIE #4) Weight loss surgery will help you cure diabetes
Using surgery for the treatment of type-2 diabetes has been proudly designated the “Top Medical Invention of 2013” by The Cleveland
Clinic.
Because Australian tax payers now fork out their money for these interventions, everyone is jumping on the surgery bandwagon.
But there are two main problems with surgery:
A) While it helps most patients lower their calorie intake because of the overall decrease in appetite, it does NOT cure insulin resistance the same way that a proper diet and exercise plan would do.
B) No one talks about the REAL risks involved.
For example: A study from 2004 reported that the risk of dying within 30 days of gastric bypass surgery was 1 in 50!
Not promising by any means.
The study also found that most people end up with long-term problems after their surgeries:
– Nearly 50 percent of patients required removal of their bands
– Nearly 1 out of 3 patients experienced band erosion
– 60 percent needed to undergo additional surgery
There you have it.
The 4 most common diabetes lies that even your own doc may have told you.
Here’s the honest truth:
Type-2 diabetes CAN be cured and reversed with exercise, proper food choices, and optional supplements.
But only if you’re ready to follow a solid plan that controls your blood sugar, cleans out your diet, and gets you moving.
