Three of my favorite fruits for fat loss are:
1. Grapefruit
2. Tart Cherries
3. Bananas
There are so many benefits from all three of these fruits, I could do an entire newsletter series for each of them.
– Grapefruit stabilizes insulin, and a few studies have shown people lose more weight when consuming grapefruits.
It’s loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants. It increases the natural cleansing processes of the liver by boosting production of liver detoxification enzymes that help flush out carcinogens and other toxins.
– Tart Cherries are extremely anti-inflammatory, can help you recover faster, and score a ridiculously low 22 on the glycemic index scale… which means they too help keep insulin levels at bay.
– Bananas are my favorite because I’m an intense exerciser, so my body demands the glucose found in ripe bananas… and they taste delicious of course.
Also, banana ingestion can directly affect the production of dopamine, which triggers the production of powerful “neurotransmitters” that can help increase focus and concentration.
But there is one particular banana benefit that may sound a bit odd.
You probably already know that bananas are known for being packed with potassium.
And potassium intake just happens to be one of the BEST methods ever discovered when it comes to treating high blood pressure.
For example, researchers at prestigious Duke University found that taking in more potassium can lower your blood pressure by as much as 20 points.
And that’s for folks with the greatest risk for high blood pressure.
