According to a fascinating survey recently, 91% of people say that they snack on a daily basis with with over 25% of those people saying they snack up to 5-times a day. 

Now here’s where things get even more interesting… Researchers dug deeper in their survey asking participants what their reasons for snacking were… Here were the overwhelming top 5 reasons…

1. Satisfy hunger and cravings 

2. Stress Relief <– this was especially reported in women

3. Sadness or Depression

4. Celebrating a special occasion <– like office party

5. Boredom <– think mindlessly watching TV while eating potato chips

The report found that women prefer sweet snacks with top choices being chocolate, candy, or cookies while men prefer salty snacks like pretzels and chips.
