7 Foods You Must Avoid

According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women.

Now I’m sure you know by now that a poor diet causes weight gain, an increase in blood pressure, and an increase in bad  cholesterol…

All these factors can lead to heart disease, eventually  causing a life-threatening heart attack.

And if you think that adding salmon and nuts to your nutrition plan a few times per week will help you prevent heart disease, while you continue to mow down on all the wrong foods…

…. You’re taking a very big risk.

In order to avoid damaging your heart, or worse yet, suffering from a heart attack – the following foods should be eliminated from your diet ASAP.

1: Processed Meats

Hot dogs, cold cuts, sausages etc. are loaded with preservatives, sodium, and nitrites. This is not just bad for your heart but it is also linked to diabetes and pancreatic cancer.

2: Trans fats

When oils are heated up to make them more stable they become “trans fats.” It’s cheap, so it allows processed food marketers to keep products on the shelves longer.

Trans fats lower your good cholesterol and raise your bad cholesterol.
And just because it says ZERO trans fats on the labels… means absolutely nothing because the government still allows 0.5 grams to be labeled “trans fat-free”.

Even the FDA says, “There is NO safe amount of this toxic ingredient”.

So make sure to remove trans fats from your diet by avoiding foods that say “Partially hydrogenated oil.”  It’s one of the biggest culprits.

3: Sodas

Did you know that drinking one soda per day increases a man’s risk of a heart attack by 20%??? The sugar content in soda is astronomical.

Just ONE can of soda contains 6 to 10 teaspoons of pure, fat storing sugar.

4: Diet Sodas

Diet sodas (especially ones with aspartame or other artificial sweeteners) are linked to type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity.

And now studies are indicating that drinking diet sodas increases the likelihood of dying from a cardio vascular disease (Journal of General Internal Medicine).

5: Fast Food

A 2012 study reported that after just eating one fast food meal, the body’s ability to dilate blood vessels dropped by 24%, which is a precursor to hardening of the arteries…

And that’s just one meal! Stick to mom’s home cookin’ and avoid this nightmare.

6: Sugar (especially fructose)

Everybody knows sugar can potentially kill you if you abuse it long enough. Try to limit your sugar intake to no more than 100 calories per day (or about 6 tsp.)…and always, always, always avoid High fructose corn syrup like the plague.

7: Processed Salt

Yes, your body needs salt (especially if you exercise).

But the daily recommended amount is 1500 mg — and the average Australian takes in about 2300 mg. And that’s not even the real culprit.
It’s how it is processed. Make sure you replace processed table salt with the REAL salt and this will be a non-issue.

Now this is really just the beginning.

There are many other “common” everyday foods, such as cooking oils, condiments, and even certain types of fish, which can DAMAGE the precious tissues of your heart.

It’s a serious problem that you shouldn’t take lightly.

Unfortunately, most people eating a modern “western diet” eat these forbidden foods every day…WITHOUT even realizing
they’re destroying their health.
