5 Vaccination Facts We Need To Talk About

I think I made my case pretty clear, addressing one of the most controversial health debates of our century: vaccines’ safety.

In case you’ve been hiding under a rock, here’s the short version: being pro- or anti-vaccines or anything else makes no sense… in the end what matters are RESULTS.

What also matters is how open we are to the idea that science is never definitive, and that what we’re doing right now will likely be regarded as crazy or dangerous 100 years from now. This is just how things are, and how fast our understanding of human health is evolving.

I decided to create a list of every single issue around vaccine’s safety I personally want to look into before I ever vaccinate my own future children.

(Most of them will be addressed in the Truth About Vaccines docu-series, by the way.)

Surprisingly, most people call you an anti-vaxxer the second you try to reasonably and calmly talk about most of these issues…

1) Why are certain unvaccinated children healthier?

In an open letter sent out to the Italian government, 120 Italian doctors (not quacks, magicians or pseudo-healers) explained that after weeks of scientific debate, they came to the surprising realization that some unvaccinated children are healthier than the vaccinated ones. (1)

Isn’t it worth looking into, to possibly find the culprit — a vaccine that could be improved or replaced with a safer one?

2) Why are homeopathic vaccines (homeoprophylaxis) showing promise, but vilified in North America?

Countries including Cuba, India, Brazil and many others have seen results close to miraculous from using homeoprophylaxis to immunize their populations against certain bacterial infections. (2)

Why is this being ignored? Why is this cheaper alternative not used all around the world if it is so effective?

Reminder: The Truth About Vaccines will address the issue of homeoprophylaxis. Do NOT miss it!

3) Why is the flu vaccine even used anymore?

Let’s just say that the flu vaccine doesn’t have the best track record in the world.

– In the 2004/2005 season, the flu vaccine was 10% effective — being completely useless 90% of the time (3)

– In the 2012/2013 flu season, it was 56% effective, but only 9% effective for seniors — the most important group to protect from it…

– A 2014 review of 90 studies on the effectiveness of the flu vaccine, by the prestigious Cochrane Collaboration concluded that “influenza vaccines have a very modest effect in reducing influenza symptoms.” (4) In other words… they show an effect in a handful out of every 100 vaccinated people.

Let me ask very candidly… why is the CDC Director, Tom Frieden, still claiming that getting vaccinated is “the best way to protect yourself, your family and your community against flu”? (5)

4) Why are children at risk of adverse effects left unprotected?

In 2012, the Institute of Medicine Committees looked at the current state of vaccine injuries and published at 866-page report on the subject, concluding that:

“Both epidemiologic and mechanistic research suggest that most individuals who experience an adverse reaction to vaccines have a preexisting susceptibility.” (6)

But it gets worse… they have also concluded that “doctors cannot predict who will be harmed because there are few scientific studies that have evaluated vaccine risks for individuals.”

Why are we not applying the precautionary principle here and taking special care of those children that might be at risk for adverse effects… the same way society now recognizes we need to care for Celiac people who could be harmed by a single breadcrumb that falls in their gluten-free meal?

5) Why do different countries have different vaccination schedules?

Sweden gives their children a handful of vaccines (7), while children in the US receive more than 70 (8).

What the heck? Are we throwing money out the window by giving all these vaccines? Are we putting children at risk… why such a huge difference? Shouldn’t we figure out a single schedule that is the healthiest and cheapest for every child on the planet?

=================

Again, I’m not pro or against vaccines… just PRO-ASKING-QUESTIONS.

The second you stop asking questions and conclude “this is how things are,” you stop having a critical mind, and lose your consciousness — what I personally think is critical to being a happy, thinking human being.

My goal is not fear-mongering… but education, and finding what works best to protect our health — regardless of what form it ends up taking.
