There has never been more pollution in our environment or chemicals in the foods we eat than right now.
You are quite literally SURROUNDED by toxicity every day!
In fact, you are probably living in state of toxic OVERLOAD and you don’t know it!
When your body is overloaded with toxins your fat cells and organs get clogged…and your precious hormones go haywire.
And hormone disruption equals…
* Fat gain and increase in the size of your fat cells
* Worsened menopausal symptoms
* Water retention and puffy looking skin
* Bloating and fatigue
A detoxifying cleanse can work wonders! It can improve your health and boost your energy levels.
However, in recent years the nutrition industry has decided to capitalize on this fact with expensive detox kits, fad diets, and dangerous pills that produce little long term benefit.
Did you know that the right exercise is one of the most powerful and safe ways to detoxify your body of built-up toxins?
Here, let’s look at 3 ways the right exercise can help you:
- Breathe It Out
Your body has many mechanisms to rid itself of toxins. One way is through breathing.
After your cells use the oxygen to produce energy they produce carbon dioxide (CO2) – a waste product. Because CO2 is toxic to the body it is expelled with each exhalation.
Doing anything that gets you huffing and puffing will speed toxins out of your body! This is a why high intensity exercise program – like this one – should be incorporated into any cleansing protocol.
Another helpful solution is deep breathing. Try this breathing pattern for 2 minutes morning noon and night and you will be amazed by how it enhances your energy levels!
Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of 10 seconds.
Hold for 5 seconds.
Exhale through your mouth for 10 seconds.
Repeat 10 times.
- Get Your Sweat On
Yet another way your body detoxifies itself is through your sweat. Your skin is your body’s largest organ and is a massive area through which sweat and toxins can be expelled.
In other words, the more you sweat, the more toxins you expel from your body. For this reason, anything that increases your sweat production is an incredible addition to your cleansing program.
Just as above, high intensity exercise is one of the best ways to get your body sweating out toxic waste! In addition to sweating more you will also be breathing more. This combo will give toxins the 1, 2 punch they deserve!
Any exercise that gets you sweating works but one you can try to really dial up your sweat level is hot yoga. This type of yoga in done in a hot room and focuses on breathing which you now know is another important detoxifier.
Spending 15 to 20 minutes in a hot sauna is another great way to induce a terrific sweat. You can enjoy a sauna daily but only if you drink plenty of water before during and after.
- Move Your Booty (I Mean Body)
Another way your body removes toxins is through your lymphatic system. Because the lymph system removes the stagnant waste from your body you can think of it as your body’s own private sewer system!
But the last thing you want is for this sewage system to get backed and stay stagnant. That’s why movement is imperative.
This drainage system rids your body of toxins, cellular wastes, bacteria, viruses, and even cancerous cells! Obviously, anything that enhances lymphatic drainage will also enhance your body’s detoxification of fat-loving toxins and chemicals.
It just so happens that muscular contractions are necessary to move lymph. The free workouts on this page will help.
Each muscle contraction acts like a pump helping to move the lymph through your body and out to be eliminated. For this reason, anything that increases muscular contractions will also increase the amount of toxins you expel from your body.
Give this quick fat burning workout a shot:
Warm-up: 5 minutes
Push-ups x max reps
Reverse Lunges x 6 reps per leg
Plank x hold for max duration
Kettlebell swings x 6 reps (heavy weight please)
Allow little to no rest between exercises or sets and repeat for 3 rounds.
This workout should take you less than 15 minutes and you’ll be dripping sweat – a good sign of fat loss in the making.
Other than traditional bodyweight or strength training workouts, rebounding, or jumping on a mini-trampoline, is one of the most
effective ways to stimulate the lymph system.
The best part is rebounding is that it is low impact making it a great option for most people.
Considering the importance of exercise (3-4 times per week is all you need) it might be helpful an easy-to-follow workout program that you can do from the comfort of your own living room, the gym, or even while you travel.
