Why You Should Eat Bacon

These 3 blatant food lies are preventing you from choosing the right

fat-burning foods at the grocery store… and they could be STOPPING your

body from losing fat.

Once you stop buying into these nutrition myths, you’ll be able to switch your diet from fat-storing foods to healthy fat-burning foods, while you “turn on” your body’s fat-burning switch with each and every bite.

Below, you’ll find all 3 food lies, and you’ll also discover an easy and delicious way to “fix” your broken diet and KEEP your body in a consistent, fat burning environment 24 hours a day – all while eating MORE of your favorite foods.

Food Lie #1:
“Nitrites” In Bacon Are Dangerous

Ni-what?

I know… It can be a complicated subject.

In fact, consumers fear nitrites so much that companies have started selling “nitrite-free” products in grocery stores. After all, even the Mayo Clinic says that sodium nitrite could increase your risks of heart disease. (1)

But it’s another food scam.

In reality, veggies contain WAY more naturally occurring nitrites than processed
meats. Just one serving of arugula contains more nitrites than 467 hot dogs…(2)

Heck, even your own saliva (i.e. spit) accounts for about 70-90% of your nitrite exposure! (3)

But wait, it actually gets even WORSE.

Instead of being cured with sodium nitrite, nitrite-free meats are cured with celery salt. And guess what? Celery salt gets transformed into nitrites during the curing process. (4)

In plain English… the “nitrite-free” meats probably contain way more nitrites than the regular version!

But NONE of this matters because studies show that nitrites do not accumulate inside the body, and are quickly flushed out in the urine.

The bottom line: If you’re paying more for “nitrite-free” meats, you’re being misled (read: scammed).

Food Lie #2:
Saturated Fats CAUSE Heart Attacks

This is where most people will shake their head in utter confusion.

The truth is: saturated fat is NOT unhealthy or fattening. And doesn’t cause heart disease.

Facts don’t lie:

  • A meta-analysis published in 2011 that pooled data from 21 studies and included nearly 348,000 adults, found NO difference in the risks of heart disease and stroke between people with the lowest and highest intakes of saturated fat (5).
  • The Tokealau, Masai and Inuit tribes all consume a diet of 50% or more saturated fat and report superior cardiovascular health (6).
  • Breast milk contains 50% saturated fat. Do you really think this perfect food clogs newborns’ arteries?

Countless studies now prove saturated fats have NOTHING to do with heart disease and sickness (7,8). Refined oils, trans fats, processed foods and sugar DO – just to name a few.

Food Lie #3:
Salt Is “Unhealthy” & Causes High Blood Pressure

The 3rd reason most people fear bacon and other delicious cured meats is because of all the added salt.

Here’s the REAL truth: the fear of salt went mainstream in the 1960s when Lewis Dahl revealed his study results supposedly “proved” that salt causes hypertension. He forced them to eat the human equivalent of 500 grams of sodium a day, which caused the rats high blood pressure.

But who REALLY consumes 500 grams of sodium a day? Nobody.

The average daily sodium intake for Americans age 2 years and older is 3,436 mg, (9) which is 145 times lower than the amount this study used…

More than 40 years later… after the CDC, FDA and all the other clueless organizations started demonizing salt, not ONE single study has ever proven that salt causes hypertension – because it doesn’t.

The irony? Avoiding salt can actually lead to insulin resistance (10) and increased risks of stroke and heart attacks (11).
