Popular Exercise Trend Makes You Look Bulky

There is a huge mistake called “time under tension” that almost all women and men make when trying to flatten  their stomachs, or develop and tone a weak body part.

Most folks think that in order to “tone up” a particular body  part or muscle group, it needs to be worked harder and more  frequently.

But if you’re not careful, many of these popular exercises  can add “bulk” to your legs, while making your waist look “thicker.”

A perfect example is the stomach and abdominal area.

People think doing more and more core or ab exercises is going to help them “tone up” or flatten their belly.

Truth be told, you’re just building and developing more  muscle in that particular area.

So, even though it’s important to train your abs and core every week, it does very little to tone a body part or burn off stubborn fat.

Hopefully, if you’re on my newsletter, you know by now that “abs are made in the kitchen.”

In other words, get your diet dialed in and focus your energy  on exercises that burn off stomach fat instead of wasting your  time doing 1,000 crunches or trendy core exercises every day.

Taking it home:

—> If you’re a male whose body-fat is over 15%…
—> Or you’re a female whose body fat is over 20%…

Take ALL the time and energy you’re investing into stomach  exercises (or trendy core workouts) and replace them with  a clean diet, along with high intensity intervals and intense weight training workouts that burn fat.

Then, AFTER you get your body fat levels low enough, you  can start to focus more on toning up individual body parts,  like your stomach, glutes, or legs.

But here’s the cold, hard TRUTH:

It’s MUCH easier for a man to lose weight than a woman.

Women, on the other hand, are hardwired to have a much  more difficult time to lose weight and keep it off than men.

(Sorry ladies, you can thank hormones and evolution for that one).
